The megapixel count, on the other hand, is not the only factor that influences the overall quality of a photograph. The M50 with EF-M lenses are unquestionably the best value for money available on any APS-C system. And I believe that many professional shooters, especially those who specialize in sports and wildlife, would disagree with you as well. I'm going to remain with my D3300 as my low-cost, little camera that takes excellent photographs. The Canon has wifi, and you can use a cable release, which is amazing if you need to use a tripod or telescope, where even the smallest movement might ruin a perfectly wonderful shot, as I often do. Except for those applications that need the use of FF or action sports photography, birds in flight, or other long-telephoto work, it is "more than enough" for all photographic applications (stills!). However, consumers who are interested in such types of photography should not pick a Nikon D3500 or a Canon T7... And for everyone else, M50 is a considerably superior option than these two mirrorslappers with their small, pathetic tunnel-view pentamirror optical viewfinders. It is not true that Pictbridge works as advertised and that it suffers connectivity troubles.  
  
Photographing in JPEG or RAW, Nikon files are straightforward to work with and won't leave you wishing for anything else. This year, the Nikon D3500 climbed to the top of the list of the finest DSLRs for beginners. Despite the fact that it is newer, lighter, and smaller than the Canon T7i, it is still quite comfortable in the hand.

Canon's initial effort, the M50, was a flop, and the company is still striving to catch up with Sony, Olympus, and Panasonic. It's amusing how Nikon used to utilize Sony processors before discontinuing the usage of Sony processors since Sony cameras are destroying Nikon and even Canon, who are trying to catch up. @Marc Petzold, thank you for your comment. You do understand that the Olympus OMD EM1 m2 only has 16 megapixels, yet it shoots incredible images, don't you? The SL2 boasts a 24.2 megapixel camera, a fully articulating touch screen, WiFi, and a DiGiC 7 CPU, which is, in my view, the most essential feature of this device.
